ABOUT
When I was very young, I drew incessantly until I became pretty good at transferring that image I saw to a flat surface. As a young Mom, I made my kids clothes, ran a cake decorating business, knitted and crocheted, even wove baskets! As an older adult after getting my nursing license, I still spent a good chunk of my free time enjoying collaborating with my daughter and daughters in law blogging at SimplyNotable.com - a do it yourself blog that featuring our own craft tutorials, recipes, and original knitting, crochet and sewing patterns.
People often claim they "couldn't draw a stick figure", they tell me I have talent. But to tell you the truth, I doubt it's as much talent as it is practice. Art has always been there for me, allowing me a space to experiment and fail, to step out on a limb and try new things. I've always went back to it because even when I've failed, I've found the most fulfillment in the process of creating.
It's that process of creation itself that fills me with joy.
I count myself truly lucky to have always had art as a part of my journey. Thanks so much for taking the time to share it with me!
