with color and motion as my tools,

I paint to capture the mystery that I experienced as a child in a world so much larger than myself. Layers of acrylic paint, graphite and artist crayon build into a visual dialogue on giant sheets of unstretched canvas tacked to my studio walls.

When I step into the studio, I’m arm in arm with that childish enchantment that brings a joy of risk-taking, exploration and a deep belief in magic. I create to open my heart and enter into a state of intuitive flow where I feel engagement with something larger than myself,

I pull expression from my connection to the Sonoran desert, as one lucky artist - privileged to be a creative participant in this life.

One of my core creative purposes is

to communicate and build connections with other creatives. When creative ideas hit the air, a delicious soup of inspired energy comes about!

I periodically share studio notes derived from those I ponder in my sketchbook journal. Join below to have them sent directly to your inbox.

Let’s chat about the wonder of the creative process!
